On April 18-19, Gate Charity successfully conducted a beach cleanup event at Phuoc Hai Beach, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, located 120km from Ho Chi Minh City. This vital initiative targeted the removal of hard-to-decompose waste that has been adversely affecting the local marine environment.
Phuoc Hai, previously a bustling coastal fishing village admired for its scenic beauty, has experienced a marked decline in its environmental health and attractiveness to tourists due to overexploitation. This downturn has severely impacted the local economy, particularly businesses dependent on beach tourism.
The “Save The Blue” event focused not only on cleaning up the beach but also on raising awareness among the community about the importance of ocean conservation. It was designed to educate and motivate the public about the crucial role they play in maintaining the health of our oceans. The cleanup was an integral part of Gate Charity’s broader mission to restore the natural beauty of Phuoc Hai and promote a green, sustainable future.
Gate Charity, a pioneer in leveraging blockchain technology for social good, commits to creating a better world by enhancing transparency, accountability, and effective charitable work. By harnessing this technology, Gate Charity ensures that every donation empowers donors to see the direct impact of their contributions.
